1. It is used as a preparatory proceedure called sneha karma.
2. In the treatment of respiratory disorders.
3. In anemia, loss of weight menstural disorders and bleeding.

Efect on tridoshas:clams vata and pitta.

1/4-1/2tsf followed by warm water on empty stomach once or as directed by the physician.
